Dallas, Texas--The East African Chamber of Commerce (EACC) of Dallas has lined-up a prominent Dallas, Houston attorney from the Opendi and Company Advocates to present a keynote address to the chamber during its monthly meeting for March. The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Galleria Hotel in Dallas on Thursday March 24 between 7:00pm and 8:00 pm, a statement by the EACC chairwoman said. Members of East African community countries living in the Dallas-Fort worth (DFW) including Kenyans, Ugandans, Rwandans, Burundians, South Sudanese, and Ethiopians are all encouraged to attend the informative, networking, and interactive monthly event.
The EACC Chairwoman, Elsa Juko-McDowell says that attending the event will be a great way to get some legal information and also get an opportunity to network build relationships, and take respective businesses to a higher level. Elsa Juuko, the first woman to lead the dallas-based-6-year old EACC says attending the chamber monthly meetings affords members an opportunity to tap into the diversity of skill sets in the chamber and to develop new business ideas for individuals and the leadership to pursue.
At its previous monthly meeting last January, the EACC featured Steve Moore, famously known as “Mosquito Steve”, a Dallas-born developer of the now widely used mosquito repellent made of natural, nontoxic, and sweet-smelling oils that also repels flies.
Inspired by its proven efficacy, several members of the EACC have since entered into deals with the developer to distribute and market the product in the East African region to help combat malaria, the leading killer disease in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The EACC is scheduled to hold its annual conference from September 29 in Dallas, Texas as part of its mission to promote trade and investments between the USA and the East African region.
