Dallas, Texas—The East Africa Chamber of Commerce (EACC) monthly round table will take place on Tuesday April 26 at the Sheraton Hotel by the Galleria in Dallas starting at 7:00pm, the EACC secretariat announced Tuesday.

Dr Daniel Juma, a well-established Dentist, originally from east Africa, running two local dental practices in DFW Metroplex, will headline the EACC monthly round table. He will debunk common misconceptions around dental services and explain why and how everyone should approach dental care, the EACC statement said. While sharing his personal journey from a student to a Doctor with two local dental practices, Dr Daniel Juma is also expected to highlight major dental breakthrough technologies now in vogue

Dr Daniel Juma, DDS, is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, Texas. He earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2012 from Baylor. He was awarded for his excellence in Periodontology and is a recipient of the prestigious W.R Hammond Scholar and Dr. P Earl Williams Awards.
While at Baylor, Dr. Daniel Juma also received training in enteral oral sedation and nitrous oxide administration. He gained further exposure and experience in different specialties of dentistry including oral pathology, oral surgery and prosthodontics from Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester General Hospital, and Eastman Institute in New York.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Juma has a passion for volunteer work through a foundation he established in memory of his father to provide access to dental care, support to primary education, and supply of safe water in some rural parts of Kenya. Locally, Dr. Juma sponsors the “Save a Smile” program by Cooks Children’s which provides restorative and preventative dental care to children from low-income families.
Meanwhile, last month, Laban Opande, a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Board Member of the EACC, advised EACC members to always consider matching their skills and ambitions with the nature of enterprise they plan to start as an initial step in ensuring prosperous endeavors. Laban Opande, also holds an MBA and bachelors in environmental science with over 18 years of leadership, management, and executive experiences in several fields including law, business, technology, science, agriculture, and the environment. He was speaking at the EACC March meeting at the Sheraton in Dallas.
He described the relevant business registration processes and highlighted specific procedures required for certain business Set ups. Laban Opande, an astute businessman and professional with a thorough understanding of US local, state and federal laws, advised chamber members to always seek competent legal representation just as signing-up for a good insurance policy. An inspiring speaker, he encouraged and motivated his listeners to always aim higher.
